Location and transport
The
county of the Bajo Martín is situated in the autonomous community of
Aragón, in the north of the province of Teruel. It enjoys good communications
with Saragossa and the Mediterranean sea, although communications with the
head of the province, Teruel, are much worse.
Getting there
By car
From Saragossa:
From the capital of Aragón take road N-232 towards Alcañiz until
you reach Azaila and, later, Híjar.
From Valencia and Teruel:
From Teruel take road N-420 until it crosses road N-211, near Montalbán.
Follow road A-222 to Muniesa, where it connects with road A-1401, which will
take you to road N-232 (Saragossa-Alcañiz) passing through Albalate
del Arzobispo and Urrea de Gaén.
From Barcelona, Lérida and Tarragona:
Once you reach Alcañiz follow road N-232 to Híjar.
By coach
The Coach Company for Bajo Aragón (ABASA) connects all the towns in the county with Saragossa and Alcañiz.

The railroad line between Saragossa and Barcelona makes stops at Azaila, La Puebla de Híjar and Samper de Calanda.
